Cupid Shoot Me 4x!

Can you remember the first time Cupid shoot you? That moment when you feel a sudden shiver and everything arounds you began to move slowly. Then your cheeks were as red as the dot of the siopao and it was as hot as the scorching summer of Pinas. Heart shapes are coming out from your eyes and you can hear the background music "TL Ako Sa'yo". Naks, Jolina-Jolina lang naman ang peg. Swooosh!

Honestly, if there is one thing I'm grateful about living in a democratic country, it is the freedom to exercise my rights. Yes! the right to love and to be loved. (Naman!) I can proudly say that possessing an exotic and extraordinary beauty, I'm kinda choosy. You know!! It's kinda, it's hard, it's gosh! Of churs, I tend to place the highest selection criteria as possible. (Hahaha! Kapal Fez!!) Kidding aside, I'm just one of those simple girls who also chuckles when a crush talks or smiles at me. My heart still sings "pa-pa-ra-pa-pa" all the time. I could still clearly picture out each moment when Cupid shot me straight to the core of my heart. That moment, that distinct and single moment. When everything around me seems to be perfect. (yikes!) On a serious note, I'm almost 26 (Booo!); yet for the record, I had 4 exceedingly handsome, overly yummy and superbly smart. I won't be revealing their names because I don't want them to be that confident in facing me...haha! Now, let me share to you my experience to each crush.

Crush #1 -- "Mr. Racket"

He is my crush when I was in 4th grade. He is from the "only-intelligent-studs-admitted" school in our town. He is slightly chubby with rosy cheeks and bulging tummy. His slightly oversized cheeks will tempt you to pinch him. He is also huggable like a "tiddy ber". However, you may wonder why I call him "Mr. Racket". It is because he plays badminton. I always see a badminton racket tagging along with him every time he goes to our school. I'm not really a fan of badminton at that time but because he was my first crush, I forced myself to like and to learn the sport. I would make super kulit my "ex-bestfriend" to teach me how to play the sport. And worst, I would asked him to fastly paddle the bicycle while I was riding behind him to go after my crush. (so cheap, who cares I was innocent then...haha!) My ex-bff was always annoyed with my "kilig moment". I could sense that he wanted to slap me but like most friends, he couldn't do anything except to tolerate me.

Crush #2 -- "Boy-Next-Door"
Crush #3 -- "Mr. Genius"

Crush #2 is truly a hunk. He stands around 5'8 (this is tall for a petite like me), with a sun-kissed skin, lean body and his prominent jaw line makes him look like Derek Ramsay. Why I had a crush on him? His looks and the way he carry himself is simply irresistible.

Crush #3 is now a lawyer. I'm always attracted to men who wears eyeglasses. He stands around 5'11 and he is shy. A shy man is always mysterious to me that's why I'm fascinated to him. I always like someone whose hard to get because I get challenge (kidding!!).

Behold! Crush #2 & Crush #3 are cousins. I always see them during Sunday Masses. Ehem! Don't judge me. Swear, I'm always attentive and participative during church service. However, I couldn't help it that every time I walked inside the church and during "Peace Be With You", my eyes will wrongfully focus on their direction. It's not really my fault, blame it to my keen eyes.

Crush #4 -- "Mr. Elevator"

He is my closely recent crush when I was in Sydney. I never admitted it to my friends because they will bully me (I love you MJ and MAK). He seems shy yet can come up with a good conversation (according to MJ). He listens to rock music - heavy metal. He has a shoulder-length curly hair with mustache that made me call him "Jesus-look". Why Mr. Elevator? Because our story revolves in the elevator. I'm the not-so-good-student who always rush in going to class with a ragged look. Oftentimes, I enter the elevator at the last minute. My crush is kind enough to hold the elevator control so that I could go in. One time, I was not the "rusher". I walked with grace heading to the elevator. My crush saw me and said, "You're not catching your breath today. Good!". Gosh! my heart was beating so fast, it was about to pop out of my chest. That was the first time he talked to me. How did I reply? Very feminine, a simple short smile. Gracious, I was speechless. Actually, he is my classmate. He seats next to me. Not really next to me but one chair apart on my left side. This is so because I always put my precious bag on that seat. I'm sorry but that's the only way so that I can let my emotion subside. When our term was almost over, he will politely say the following: See you tomorrow; See you next week; and Bye. The line that made my heart beat faster and slower at the same time was "TAKE CARE" with a sweet smile. Goodness! And lastly, after I did a presentation he said: "You impressed me. I never expected that. Congratulations." Then the Maria Clara in me replied, "Thanks!".

I hope you had a good glimpse on the rarely publicized side of me. I'm still looking forward for my 5th crush. I don't know when I can meet him but one thing for sure -- I will still feel giddy by the thought of it.
